Huawei reveals 4G-ready phablet at CES

The Chinese manufacturer’s latest Ascend Mate 2 4G also features a 13-megapixel camera and powerful battery
Huawei has launched a 4G-ready version of its 6.1-inch Ascend Mate phablet at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
The Ascend Mate2 4G (pictured) has a 6.1-inch IPS screen, 4050mAh battery, quad-core 1.6GHz processor and a 13-megapixel camera.

Huawei claims that the 4050mAh battery is powerful enough to watch six downloaded movies or listen to up to 100 hours of music on a single charge. In comparison, the Sony Xperia Z Ultra has a 3050mAh battery while the the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a 3200mAh battery.
Huawei executive vice president Colin Giles said that the handset’s connectivity and battery features would give consumers the ability to “use their smartphone as their mobile office”.
The Huawei Ascend Mate2 4G is capable of speeds of up to 150 Mbps, is 9.5mm thin and also features a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
Huawei has yet to provide details on pricing and availability.
